About the Foundation
The Richard Alston Foundation was established as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation in 2021 to promote contemporary dance and preserve the choreographic work and heritage of Sir Richard Alston, particularly the works created during his time as Artistic Director of The Place and principal choreographer of the Richard Alston Dance Company.
The Foundation’s aims are to promote the remounting of Alston’s existing works — specifically those to which it holds the rights — with a focus on educational settings such as schools and dance conservatoires.
Our Trustees
